2024 LFG Season Preview Sponsored by Impact Fire

Well just like that we will be entering our 8th season and we have many season long champions who continue to come back looking for their 2nd title. The only current player with 2 season long championships is Chris Roussin. Last years Champion Rob Wenrich who played a career best round at just the right time during our championship at Owls Nest and was able to sneak by Jim Tokanel. Jim arguably  was last years best and most consistent player and we anticipate will put himself in great position this year as well to take down the title.

We hope to see Rick Dichard bounce back after a disappointing 2023 season where he was not able to claim any victories after dominating in 2022 and playing some of the best golf he had in a long time. Josh Klein and Jon Levenson are some serious contenders this year although Josh has been playing great golf over the last 18 months and has gotten himself to a sub 9 handicap which could potentially make it tough for him. Josh has worked hard and now has become a sub 80 player more often than not.

Jon Levenson who will be entering his 2nd season the tour and claimed last years season long match play tournament looks to carry that momentum into a season long title this year. Levenson who took down the Breakfast hill event as well as the Loudon event was a true contender every time he teed it up. This year Jon is under a new sponsorship with Taylormade and will be swinging the QI10 SMOKE Driver which should help his "fade" throughout his rounds. Jon is the definition of a player who "swings his swing" and by trusting the process could wreak some havoc in the league this year.

John Theriault is another serious contender who needs to step up when the time comes. Consistency is always an issue for all of us but sometimes more so with Johnny Red, his putting has come a long way over the last few years and if he can continue to drain big putts he could walk away with a few championships this year and put himself in a great spot come our Crumpin Fox Championship round.

Some new players who will be playing their first full season with us and could watch out for are those of Joe Gagne, and Rocky Lefort who I have seen working real hard all winter to improve their games and are ready to take their talents to the outside.

We have a great schedule in store for us this year and lot's of new faces we will be welcoming to the tour. I personally am looking forward to a great season!
